Ted Talk

It’s well known that Berkshire Hathaway’s investment portfolio is being managed by more than just Warren and Charlie these days.  Ted Weschler and Todd Combs manage billions of assets for the company.  But we don’t hear from either of them directly all that often.  Recently, Ted spoke with Nebraska Furniture Mart’s podcast (NFM is owned by Berkshire).  Not exactly a podcast on many investor’s radar (I found out about the episode from Twitter).

1. Frankly, he sounds a lot like Buffett.  Works seriously but has a light attitude about himself and others.
2. Reads widely, eclectically, and consistently – not what everyone else reads.  Trade journals were mentioned.
3. Likes to research a company, look at their financials and figure out for himself what the stock price should be.  Then he finds out the market’s price.
