It’s not often that an entire island comes up for sale – but this week one did and if you invest wisely, you too could own your very own island.

Just off the west coast of Scotland, the 453-acre private island comes with sandy beaches, puffins galore, seven houses, a helipad, a flock of sheep and a pub.

Sanda Island lies between Scotland and Northern Island, off the southern tip of the Kintyre Peninsula, made famous by the 1977 song “Mull of Kintyre” by Paul McCartney and Wings.

And this can all be yours for the bargain basement price of $3.1 million.
